H.E. GOVERNOR WAVINYA NDETI TOURS KEY PROJECTS IN KANGUNDO.

The County Government of Machakos is driving key initiatives to improve livelihoods, enhance infrastructure, and empower the community. Recently, Governor Wavinya Ndeti toured the Ngangani Dam in Kivaani, Kangundo East Ward, which now provides water to over 10,000 households. Additionally, 5,000 fish fingerlings were stocked to benefit over 3,000 families, promoting nutrition and alternative income through fish farming.

Governor Wavinya also inaugurated the upgraded Kangundo Level 4 Hospital, including a modern mortuary, offering improved healthcare services and dignity during moments of loss.

To address youth unemployment, the Governor highlighted plans to expand Vocational Training Centers (VTCs), equipping young people with technical skills for the job market. The first group of Machakos Youth Service recruits will join the program in January 2024, focusing on character development and economic empowerment.

These initiatives reflect the County Government’s commitment to sustainable development, healthcare improvement, and youth empowerment.
